Using the most efficient materials makes sense only if they are also the most respectful of man and his environment.

That is why, in 2009, Andre Renault launched his eco-design initiative with the support of ADEME. Particular attention is paid to the selection of materials, the composition of products, the choice of suppliers, sustainability, management and recycling of used products.

In 2011, the Elastorem was the first french mattress to obtain European Ecolabel certification. Wood from fixed bed bases comes from sustainably managed forests. Soya, used in foams, are guaranteed free of GMO and no not challenge the food resource.

- 2009 : Launch of the eco-design approach with the support of Ademe.

- 2011 : Andre Renault awarded the Ecolabel.

- 2017 : Andre Renault has obtained the NF Environnement Ameublement certification and is the first french litter to benefit from it.

At Andre Renault, we are collectively commited to sustainable development. This translates into effective waste management and many eco-responsible actions on a daily basis.

WASTE MANAGEMENT

-

- 100 % of latex falls are recycled into mattresses to improve the comfort of dairy cows horses. In 2019, 40 tons of recycled latex allowed the manufactured of 2,000 beddings.

- 100 % of plastic packaging is recycled into garbage bags or new eco-designed packaging. 44 tonnes of recycled waste per year.

- 100% of the borders are recycled into felt plates used in the manufacture of our mattresses and bed bases.

- 98 % of the waste is recycled or converted into SFR (null,solid fuel recovery).

DES ECO-RESPONSIBLE ACTIONS ON A DAILY BASIS

- Switch to green electricity with 100% renewable energy (null,hydro, wind, solar, geothermal).

- Progressive replacement of the cars with plus-in hybrid vehicles to limit CO2 emissions.

- Relocation of the environmental zone text to production and optimisation of tipping collection.

- Catalogues printed on paper from sustainably managed forests and POS printed on ecological canvases.

- Bicycles in the factory for all on site trips.
